can now be followed by all the same Directives as a regular device name like /dev/hda takes. This allows one to use (for example): DEVICESCAN -m root@yoyodyne.com in the /etc/smartd.conf file. smartd: Added -c (--checkonce) command-line option. This checks all devices once, then exits. The exit status can be used to learn if devices were detected, and if smartd is functioning correctly.
